Petersburg Creek Cabin

Enjoy the privacy and solitude of the Petersburg Creek Valley in the safety and comfort of  "Grampa's Place". Built in 1977, this privately owned cabin is located 3.5 miles NW of Petersburg and is surrounded by a USFS Protected Wilderness Area and bear sanctuary.

The main creek runs approximately 8 miles from Petersburg Lake to the saltwater.  This pristine valley is the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature all while watching black bears feed on salmon, not 50' from the cabin.

Our cabin is secluded and accessible only at high tide which enhances your privacy. 6 people can sleep comfortably in two bedrooms. Our modest kitchen, dining room, and living room all share a 270º view of the creek and valley and you'll stay cozy with a diesel stove. You'll have your choice of the classic outhouse or a portapotty! If you'd like to hike, a Forest Service trail runs up and down the creek for miles. Our canoes and kayaks are a good time for anyone who has the desire to add to their Alaskan adventure. For generations, our family and friends have enjoyed the covered porch, hammock, and fire pit. The nightly campfires are a great way to relax and visit in the evening.

Rob, as caretaker, will be around throughout your stay to assist with any of your needs.

Interior pictures of the cabin are coming soon!
